Medical Care
Throughout the whole therapy there is medical surveillance and
treatment at disposition of our patients. It consists of taking
the medical history (anamnesis) and physical examination including
accompanying or consecutive diseases, examination of the present
physical fitness and the establishment of an
individual therapy plan.
It includes the taking of all necessary blood samples, the ECG, pulmonary function test, stress-ECG and spiroergometry, establishing the basic metabolic rate and the maximum O2 consumption, ultrasound of the abdomen, heart and the sonography of the thyroid gland, examination of the body composition, long term monitoring of blood pressure and breathing at night if necessary (sleep apnoea screening).
We cover the spectrum of diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities in internal medicine, all other specialists are available and can be contacted if necessary on a consulting base.
The medical team is at patient's disposal in daily office hours, in emergency cases at any time. It monitors the weight reduction, improvement of the health status, increase in physical fitness and offers courses of health education and courses for smoking cessation; it is available in all cases of intercurrent diseases.
