Summer camps
We offer weight-loss camps over the summer for interested overweight
teenagers and young adults . The goal of these programs is simple:
lose weight while having fun. Most campers report weight loss
resulting from a healthier nutrition, smaller portion sizes and
increased physical activity. They also talk about having positive
experiences participating in the program.
The summer programs of our Obesity Rehabilitation Center Insula are the first comprehensive summer weight loss treatment programs for overweight teenagers and adults. Taking part in a condensed (one or two months over the summer) Insula therapy, these summer Camps ensure short-term weight loss while focusing on long-term behavioral change. After a summer at an Insula summer Camp, young people return home feeling great about themselves and highly motivated to change their lives. Plus, there's no better place to make new friends this summer!
